Standard of care axSpA
Striving for and achieving high treatment targets is linked to substantial benefits for your SpA patients in terms of:
Quality of life
Patients who achieve higher ASAS40 improvements also achieve better results in outcomes not included in the ASAS score, such as HRQol, SF-36 PCS, fatigue and nocturnal spinal pain, irrespective of previous treatment status1,2
Structural progression
Achieving lower ASDAS scores is associated with lower spinal progression; an increase of one ASDAS unit is expected to lead to an increase of 0.72 mSASSS units over the next two years³
Patient function
Patients who achieve ASAS40 experience improved engagement and productivity on the job and are better able to perform daily, non-work-related activities compared to ASAS40 non-responders²
Higher ASAS responses correlate with improved quality of life outcomes in AS/r-axSpA patients
Patients who achieve higher ASAS improvements also achieve better results in outcomes not included in the ASAS score. These include outcomes such as HRQoL, SF-36 PCS, fatigue and nocturnal spinal pain, irrespective of previous treatment status.1,2

Achieving a lower ASDAS score is associated with lower spinal progression in axSpA³
An increase of one ASDAS unit in an individual patient is expected to lead to an increase of 0.72 mSASSS units over the next two years.

ASAS40 response associates with clinically relevant improvements in work and household productivity for nr-axSpA patients²
